Sept.1, 2009-Rough seas


The weather has been nice but the wind has picked up making it too rough for fishing. Looking forward to fishing this weekend. This is a view off one of the beach accesses in Nags Head.

8/12-Sailfish, Tile and Dolphin


We had a great day of fishing. Anglers brought home Tile Fish and Dolphin. Congratulations to James Carney from PA for his catch and release of a Sailfish!

Alice Kelly Tournament 2009

8/5-Dolphin and Tile fish-Bottom fishing

We had a Bottom fishing trip today and we had a school of Dolphin come along while we were bringing up the Tile Fish.

We had an outstanding group of anglers for this make-up charter. The anglers brought home some nice tile fish. Congratulations to AJ Pizzolla from Thornwood, NY for his first catch and release of a Sailfih!

Thanks for the picture Jake- Picture of Dustin with his Dolphin. The following was written by Jake Wagner:
Hello all, Well the fishing trip is over and the final tally is in what a trip! Wahoo, 2 Amberjack, 4 Bonita tuna, 2 Yellowfin Tuna, 2 Blackfin tuna, 43 Mahi Mahi, and 6 White Marlin! Also caught were many flounder none big enough to keep other than the one Dusty watched fall off the hook! and 1 Triggerfish. The largest fish would be the Marlin est. weight 90lbs. one yellowfin (dustys) 71lbs, Blackfin 20lbs (jake), Amberjack 15lbs (jake), Wahoo 35lbs (dustys), Mahi Mahi 35lbs (dustys), Bonita tuna 5lbs tie Dusty and Jake. A grand total of 60 fish and 4 offshore outings on the West Wind (our boat) and the captain Olan West and outstanding fisherman!
