Boat's back in the water

Took the boat out for some maintenance. Two weeks later she's back in the water with a fresh coat of paint. The day we put her back in the water the weather was miserable. Glad to be back in the slip. Ready for some fishing.

Oregon Inlet

Here is a picture of my new slip at Orgeon Inlet Fishing Center. It wasn't the best time to take the picture, as you can see the weather was horrible that day. We just had a low pressure system go through which dumped plenty of rain and high winds on us. I'm looking forward to a great summer.

Striper Fishing

There are still some good signs of the Stripers. This picture shows a big ball of Gannets. They were a couple of miles off the beach today. The picture isn't that clear but I wanted to show the large amount of birds that were diving into the ocean feeding off the bait fish. I spotted a few whales mixed in with the bait fish.

Tuna's

It's almost time for Yellowfin Tuna's to start showing up in large numbers. Here is a photo with some nice size Yellowfin's from last year.

First Snow of 2009

We had our first snow storm this year. To tell you the truth we haven't had a good snow storm in a couple of years. No fishing today. The wind and seas were rough. This a picture taken off the beach in Nags Head.
