The winter season is a great time to go fishing here on the Outer Banks. Some of the Tuna Fishing can be excellent with Bluefin and Yellowfin.

We have had two weeks of bad weather. This is the picture from today, the wind has been gusting up to 50 miles an hour. Just another nor'easter. Maybe one day next week we will be able to get out fishing again.

We're Back! Back at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center that is! Hurricane Irene did a number on the marina but they managed to get her back up and running within a month. Went out with the Richmond Group today. We had a nice catch of Yellow and Blackfin Tuna's. It was nice to go out minus the rain but that all changed when we got back home that afternoon.

The Marina didn't do so well during Irene. Lost all the docks, fuel and most of the finger piers. Not to worry though! I'M STILL FISHING AND THE OREGON INLET FISHING CENTER IS OPEN AND TAKING RESERVATIONS. My boat is now docked in Wanchese until they repair the marina. Call me today and book your fall fishing trip!

Lifted the boat out of the water day before Irene hit the Outer Banks. Just went and checked on her this morning. Just a few scratches from flying debris. Can't wait to get her back in the water!

Every year the ladies enter the ALice Kelly Billfish Tournament. This year the ladies decided to focus more on meat fishing than Bill Fishing. The 22nd annual Alice Kelly Memorial Ladies Only Billfish Tournament continues to keep ALice's dream alive, providing assistance to cancer patients-emotional support, transportation assistance and temporary financial assistance. The ladies brought home some nice size Tuna's and Dolphin.

It was a nice ride out. We went to the South to get away from the crowd of boats. We ended up with a great catch of Limited Dolphin, 2 out of 4 Sailfish and a double hitter of White Marlin. Peter and his group did an excellent Job with catching fish. Hopefully they got some great photos since I forgot the camera that day!

It wasn't the most beautiful day for fishing to start off. Found a school of Dolphin and started Bailing. Thunderstorm rolled through and in the middle of the storm the anglers did a great job reeling in the Dolphin with Thunder and lightening strikes surrounding us. Finished catching our Dolphin and started trolling hooked a White Marlin and set back out and strated trolling again. It wasn't long before we hooked a real nice Blue Marlin and after an hour and Half we finally got him to the boat. He was approximatley 600lbs. Hopefully some of the anglers got some great photos of him. Once they send me some pics I will post them up. Pretty Work today!
